SEEDLINGS CLASS TEACHERS
Katie Wayman is a lifelong Kailua resident who is ecstatic to return to Sunshine School after 17 years! She’s always had a passion for working with children, and for the performing arts, namely singing. After graduating from Mid-Pacific Institute, she graduated from University of Hawaii with her Associate’s Degree, and is proud to say that she started her Early Childood Education career at Sunshine School in 2002. In her free time, she enjoys singing, reading, writing, crossword puzzles, piano, walking in the sunshine, obsessively cuddling her fur child, Meowser, and spending quality time with friends and family.
Crystal Shanks grew up in Boyne City, MI. She graduated from Liberty University with her Bachelor's degree in Religion. She has lived in five different states, traveling for her husbands job. She has five awesome kids who she spends most of her time with. When her youngest son started 2nd grade she decided to persue her passion in working with preschoolers. When it was time to relocate to Oahu she searched for employment and landed at Sunshine School. In her free time she enjoys being outside, walking, hiking, and exploring. Most of all she loves to travel.
